Terms of Use

Acceptance of terms

You must be at least 13 years old to use Hey Twin. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

License to use the app

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use Hey Twin on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use, in accordance with Apple's App Store usage rules.

User content

You retain all ownership rights to the photos, Twins, and AR memories you create in Hey Twin ("User Content"). By using optional sharing or backup features, you grant Hey Twin Labs, Inc. a limited license to store, process, and transmit your User Content solely to provide the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your User Content and will never use it to train AI models without your separate, explicit consent.

You are solely responsible for the photos you upload and the Twins you create. You confirm you have the necessary rights or permission to use any photo of another person within the app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Hey Twin to create or share content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or violates another person's privacy or likeness rights without consent
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except as permitted by law
• Use automated systems to access the Service in a way that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce
• Circumvent or attempt to circumvent any purchase, licensing, or content-protection mechanism
• Use the Service to impersonate any person without their consent, or to mislead others about the authenticity of a photo

Purchases & billing

Hey Twin Pro is offered as a one-time, non-subscription in-app purchase processed entirely through Apple's App Store and governed by Apple's terms and refund policies. We do not directly process or store your payment information.

Intellectual property

The Hey Twin name, logo, app design, and underlying technology are the property of Hey Twin Labs, Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks or branding without prior written consent.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that AR placement or background removal will be error-free or meet your expectations in every scenario.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hey Twin Labs, Inc. will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Termination

You may stop using Hey Twin and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, with or without notice, particularly in cases of abuse, fraud, or violation of acceptable use.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws principles, except where local consumer protection law requires otherwise.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever we make material changes.
